1. What makes Heritance Jewellery special?
Heritance’s jewellery is truly special because it is handmade by local, Indian artisans, with a lot of love. We at Heritance, take pride in the fact that the production takes place in India and is woman owned. Our aim is to create jewellery that can be passed on to generations to come. Our jewellery finds its roots in traditional Indian culture and finds its shoots in modern India. Designed to be cherished for generations, our jewellery is more than just an accessory – it’s a legacy.
2. What materials do you use?
At Heritance, we make our jewellery with semi and non-precious stones, pearls, beads and crystals. The metals that we use are copper and brass plated with 22k Gold and Rhodium.
3. Is your jewellery nickel-free?
While our jewellery is not nickel-free, it is crafted with high-quality materials designed to be hypoallergenic and gentle on most skin types.
4. How should I care for my Heritance jewellery?
Follow these simple steps:
- Store separately to prevent scratches
- Avoid wearing in swimming pools or showers
- Remove before applying lotions/perfumes
- Remove when at the gym
- Remove before going to bed
Pro tip: A jewellery box with a separate pouch or a Ziplock bag is your best friend! Each piece needs its own space to shine.
5. How long does the plating last?
If one follows the above-mentioned care tips, their jewellery will stay beautiful for years to come!
6. Can the jewellery be mixed and matched?
Absolutely! Our jewellery is truly unique and one-of-a-kind. Get creative – mix, match, layer different pieces to craft fresh, stylish looks everyday!
7. How long does it take to create my piece?
Each piece of our jewellery is handmade in limited batches or custom-crafted just for you. As a result, delivery typically takes 10-15 days from the date of order.
8. Do you ship internationally?
Currently we only ship within India but do DM us on our Instagram page (@heritancejewellery) or write to us at heritancejewellery@gmail.com with your international shipping requests, we will try our best to fulfill them.
9. What is your Shipping Policy?
The orders for the user are shipped through registered domestic courier companies and/or speed post only. Orders which are ready to be shipped, are shipped within 7 days from the date of the order and/or payment or as per the delivery date agreed at the time of order confirmation and delivering of the shipment, subject to courier company/post office norms. Platform Owner shall not be liable for any delay in delivery by the courier company/postal authority. Delivery of all orders will be made to the address provided by the buyer at the time of purchase. Delivery of our services will be confirmed on your email ID as specified at the time of registration/order placement.
10. What is your return policy?
We offer refund/exchange within first 3 days from the date of your purchase. If 3 days have passed since your purchase, you will not be offered a return, exchange or refund of any kind. In order to become eligible for a return or an exchange, (i) the purchased item should be unused and in the same condition as you received it, (ii) the item must have original packaging, (iii) if the item that you purchased on a sale, then the item may not be eligible for a return/exchange. Further, only such items are replaced by us (based on an exchange request), if such items are found defective or damaged. You agree that there may be a certain category of products/items that are exempted from returns or refunds. Such categories of the products would be identified to you at the item of purchase. For exchange/return accepted request(s) (as applicable), once your returned product/item is received and inspected by us, we will send you an email to notify you about receipt of the returned/exchanged product.
Further, If the same has been approved after the quality check at our end, your request (i.e. return/exchange) will be processed in accordance with our policies.
11. Is your jewellery water-resistant?
Our jewellery isn’t water-resistant, so to ensure its longevity, we recommend keeping it dry and away from moisture.
12. Do you offer custom designs?
We offer custom designs inspired by the styles in our current collection. To request a customization, simply fill out our form on the website, or DM us on Instagram (@heritancejewellery), or email us at heritancejewellery@gmail.com.
13. What is the warranty period?
While our jewellery is crafted to stand the test of time, we offer a 3-month warranty period. If any damage occurs due to a manufacturing fault, simply contact us within three months of purchase, and we’ll take care of the repairs.
14. Are your materials sustainably sourced?
Brass is a sustainable choice for jewellery production, made primarily from copper and zinc—both abundant natural resources. The mining and extraction of these metals have a lower environmental impact compared to precious metals, making brass an eco-friendly option.
15. Is your packaging eco-friendly?
When choosing packaging for our jewellery, we were conscious of plastic’s environmental impact. That’s why we use a cloth pouch, a wooden box, and a paper bag—far more eco-friendly alternatives to plastic. Additionally, when storing our jewellery in our premises, we always reuse plastic Ziplock bags, aiming to reduce plastic usage wherever possible.
